Destines Cuba

Havana is the capital of Cuba. Most likely this is the city that you should not miss if you travel to Cuba. The city is big (5 millions inhabitants), diverse, culturally rich and beautiful. In Habana you will find a great variety of restaurants, bars, night clubs, discos, museums and cultural events and, of course, a great Casa Particular for you.

Dont' miss the Cathedral, el Paseo del Prado, el Capitolio, la Plaza de la Revolucion and the worldwide famous Malecon Habanero.

People from Santiago say that "if Habana is the Capital, Santiago is Cuba".
You may or may not agree with them. Still, It is commonly agreed that Santiago's history and cultural heritage have had a tremendous impact on Cuba as a whole. Besides being the Capital of cuban music and rythm, Santiago has also been the root of rebellion and Revolution throughout Cuban history.
That's why they call it "La tierra caliente" (the hot land, in Spanish).

Holguin, also known as the City of Parks, is located in the Eastern part of Cuba. The city has enjoyed rapid commercial and touristic developement during the last decade.
The Holguin province is now the third most important tourism pole in Cuba, right after La Habana and Varadero. This is due to its closeness to the stunning Guardalavaca beach and its vibrating nightlife. If you want to party, book a Casa Particular in Holguin city centre, nearby la Casa De la Musica, La Casa de la Trova and El Benny.

Camaguey has always been relatively richer than other provinces in the Island. Its wealth still shows in the beautiful colonial architecture, in the tidiness of the city centre and the majesty of its colonial houses. Moreover, Camaguey has always had a reputation for being particularly Catholic. So you will have the chance to visit a great number of beautiful colonial churches.
Being close to some stunning beaches such as Playa Santa Lucia, Camaguey is the perfect place if you want to mix beach and city.

Las Tunas is known in Cuba for two things. Firstly for being the "City of Sculpures". Secondly, for the beauty of its women. In spite of this, Las Tunas the least visited Cuban province. If you want to discover the "Real Cuba", still unspoiled by mass tourism, book a Casa Particular in Las Tunas.

Within one hour by car you can reach beautiful beaches (La boca, la Llanita and la Herradura) still unexploited by the tourism industry.

When over 500 years ago Columbus arrived in the area where Baracoa is located, described it as "the most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen". The famous sailor could not be more right: with its mountains, tropical forest, three rivers and white beaches Baracoa is beautiful indeed. Besides that, Baracoa offers precious colonial Casas Particulares, a relaxed caraibic atmosphere and a superb regional cousine (very different from the classic Cuban comida criolla).
Definitelly worthed a visit.

VARADERO
Forget for a minute the austerity of socialism and think luxory, sky blue waters, white beaches of fine sand, all-inclusive resorts and proper shopping malls.
All this exists also in Cuba, in a place called Varadero.
Just recently the government allowed locals to rent out their properties to tourists. An independent Casa Particular is the ideal solution for those who travel on a tight budget or simply hate all-inclusive resorts.

If you want to go to the beach while remaining close to the Capital, then Guanabo is the perfect place for you.

Located in the Playa del Este district, Guanabo is only 20 km away from Havana. Here you can find a fine beach, frequented by foreigners and Cuban people alike. Every week-end Cuban families come here to spend quality time together, while catching tan and splashing in the sea.

Imagine to go back in space and time untill you reach a typical colonial settlement in the Spanish colonies during the 16th century, when pirates were attacking galeons to rob their gold. This is the feeling you will have when visiting Trinidad, Cuba' s colonias jewel.

Besides the lovely city centre (Unesco World Heritage), Trinidad offers to tourists one of the best beaches in Cuba (Playa Ancon) and a vibrating night life in the local Casa de la Musica.

50 years ago in Santa Clara was fought the decisive battle between Batista's regular army and Castro's revolutionary army. The battle in the Villaclara front was eventually won by the rebels, led by the legendary Argentinian Doctor Ernesto "Che" Guevara. This victory paved the way for Castro's final victory a few weeks later.
Because of these events, today the city of Santa Clara hosts the Mausoleum of the south american hero and two museums dedicated to his life and military successes.
